Geomagic Studio automatically processes 3D scan data for applications ranging from reverse engineering to design and analysis. Meeting the needs of numerous applications for constructing NURBS surfaces, the new feature delivers this simple mechanism which provides continuous curves, straight-line drawing and refined boundary handling.
A significant addition to Studio 9 for artisans and historical preservationists, the Advanced Colour feature offers the capability to convert per-vertex colour models to new representations that use texture maps to retain the full colour resolution. An Image Projection feature completes the offering with the ability to match a 2D photograph of a model with the 3D scanned model, then builds a texture map from the alignment and projection of the digital photo on the scanned model.
